Bank Mode, formerly known as Pay Mode, automatically opens banking sites in a virtual desktop which acts as a clean and safe computer within your real computer. This virtual desktop isolates your activity from possible key loggers or other potential threats hidden on your computer. Bank Mode allows you to perform financial transactions without fear of passwords or other personal details being stolen.

To change the default search engine:

1. Select Settings from the Avast SafeZone Browser drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
2. Click Browser in the sidebar.
3. In the Search section, select your preferred search engine from the drop-down menu.

To change your language preference in the Settings page:

1. Select Settings from the Avast SafeZone Browser drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
2. Click Browser in the sidebar.
3. Under Languages, choose your language from the drop-down menu.

To enable and disable extensions:

1. Click the Extensions icon (3 dots) in the top right corner of SafeZone browser.
2. Click any enabled extension to disable the feature. Disabled features are gray.
3. Click any disabled extension to enable the feature. Enabled features are green.

To import browser settings:

1. Open SafeZone Browser, click the Settings icon (three dots), and click All settings.
2. Scroll to the Default Browser section and click Import Bookmarks and settings...
3. Select your preferred browser from the dropdown menu and specify the data you would like to import, then click Import.

Access your bookmarks in Settings ▸ Bookmarks ▸ Imported bookmarks.

To make accessing your bookmarks easier, drag each folder from Imported bookmarks to the Bookmarks bar menu item in the left panel. Your bookmark folders then appear below the SafeZone Browser URL bar.

Bank Mode, formerly known as Pay Mode, provides a virtual desktop which acts as clean and safe computer within your real computer.

To open Bank Mode, follow these steps:

1. Click the credit card icon in the top-right corner of Safe Zone browser.
2. Enter the web address you want to visit.

To exit the virtual desktop and return to SafeZone Browser, select Switch back. Bank Mode continues to run in the background and can be re-visted by clicking the yellow Bank Mode button. To turn off Bank Mode, click the red power button in the bottom-right corner of the virtual desktop.

To set specific banking and shopping sites to open in Bank Mode automatically:

1. Type a url into SafeZone Browser.
2. A notification bar appears. Select Switch this site to Bank Mode automatically.

If the notification bar does not appear, continue to your banking site and navigate to your bank's login page. The notification bar should then appear.

If you have trouble loading Bank Mode, restart SafeZone Browser.

If you continue to have trouble loading Bank Mode, update your Avast to the latest version and restart your PC.

To update Avast:

1. Go to Settings (gear icon) and select Update from the side menu.
2. Click Update in the Program section.
3. When the update is complete, restart your PC.

To delete items from your history:

1. From the main menu, select History.
2. Hover over any entry and click the X that appears on the right.

To delete all browsing history, including cookies and more, click the Clear Browsing Data? button on the top-right of the page.

Access the main menu by clicking the Avast SafeZone drop-down menu at the top of the screen. Click the left or right arrows next to the word Zoom. Click the target to reset the page zoom to 100%.
