Licenses

All your Avast licenses automatically appear in the Avast Account registered with the same email address you used to make the purchase. To activate via your Avast Account:

1. On the My licenses screen, click Log in to your Avast Account.
   Note: If you do not have an Avast Account yet, first click Create an account to open the registration webform in your default internet browser. Enter the email address you used to make the purchase, create your password, and click Create new account. Alternatively, click Log in with Facebook or Log in with Google to register your Avast Account using your existing Facebook or Google credentials.
2. Enter your Avast Account credentials and click Log in. Alternatively, click Log in with Facebook or Log in with Google to log into your Avast Account using your existing Facebook or Google credentials.
3. Check your license details for the connected Avast Account. If you have more licenses for Avast Cleanup Premium, you can click on a listed item and select an alternative license from the drop-down menu. Click Continue to return to the My licenses screen.

Your Avast Cleanup Premium license is now activated for the connected Avast Account. The expiration date of your license appears under Licenses on this PC.

Your activation code is sent in an order confirmation email to the email address you provided during purchase. To activate using your activation code:

1. Open your order confirmation email and scroll down to the Activation code section to copy the activation code:
   • While holding the left mouse button, drag the cursor until the whole activation code is highlighted, then release the left mouse button.
   • Press the Ctrl and C keys simultaneously to copy the activation code, or alternatively right-click the highlighted activation code and select Copy from the context menu.
2. On the My licenses screen, click Enter a valid activation code.
3. Paste the previously copied activation code into the text box and click Enter:
   • Click into the text box located under Enter your activation code.
   • Press the Ctrl and V keys simultaneously to paste the activation code.
   • Click Enter.
4. Check your license details for the entered activation code. If you have more licenses for Avast Cleanup Premium, you can click on a listed item and select an alternative license from the drop-down menu. Click Continue to return to the My licenses screen.

Your Avast Cleanup Premium license is now activated for the entered activation code. The expiration date of your license appears under Licenses on this PC.

You may have received a license file in an old order confirmation email, or if you requested to have your license re-sent. To activate using your license file:

1. Open your order confirmation email, and save the attached license file (License.avastlic, License.avastvpn, etc.) in a familiar location, for example, your desktop.
2. On the My licenses screen, click Enter a valid activation code.
3. Click Use a license file.
4. Locate the previously saved license file (License.avastlic, License.avastvpn, etc.) and click Open.
5. Check your license details for the inserted file. If you have more licenses for Avast Cleanup Premium, you can click on a listed item and select an alternative license from the drop-down menu. Click Continue to return to the My licenses screen.

Your Avast Cleanup Premium license is now activated for the inserted file. The expiration date of your license appears under Licenses on this PC.

All product licenses used on the current PC are listed under Licenses on this PC. Any unused licenses appear under Other available licenses.

• If you have a free, trial, or expired product license, click Buy, Upgrade now or Renew now next to the listed item to purchase and activate the product on the current PC.
• If you have any licenses for other Avast products, click Activate & Install next to the listed item to use the product on the current PC. When prompted by the User Account Control dialog for permissions, click Yes (or Continue on older versions of Windows), and wait for setup to automatically install the product on your PC.
• If you have a license for interchangeable products, click Switch to this license next to the listed item to replace the existing license with another on the current PC. Click Switch to confirm.

If you did not receive your purchased license or if you experience issues with activating your license, you can request that your license be re-sent via our webform with the email address you used during purchase. Alternatievly, download a license from your Avast Account registered for the same email address.

If you activated the auto-renewal service, your current license is automatically renewed upon expiration. You are notified in advance via email.

You can manage the auto-renewal option for your order by following the instructions in the relevant article according to the license distributor:

If Avast Cleanup Premium does not accept your activation code:

1. Use our webform or your Avast Account to re-send your license to the email address used for your purchase, then activate the license again. Read more...
2. If the license activation fails, uninstall Avast Cleanup Premium and restart your PC.
3. Download and install the latest version of Avast Cleanup Premium.
4. Go to ☰ Menu ▸ My licenses in Avast Cleanup Premium, and activate the license.
