Free up space

System junk refers to leftover files created by the system, programs, or installers, such as temporary, log, and cached files.

Click the System junk button, then review the list of categories and select an action:

• Click a category's panel to view details.
• Tick the box next to a category to manually select it for cleaning.
• Click Ignore next to a category to remove it from the list of items.
• Click the Select drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen to apply an automatic action:
  • Select recommended: allows Avast Cleanup Premium to select which items are cleaned from your system.
  • Select all: automatically selects all listed items.
  • Select none: deselects all listed items.

After selecting categories for cleaning, click Clean Now. When the clean is complete, click Done to return to the main Avast Cleanup Premium screen, or click Clean Even More to review and clean more items. You can manage ignored and cleaned categories by returning to the System junk menu and clicking categories cleaned or categories ignored.

Browser data refers to leftover files and tracking data, such as browser cache, cookies, and history, stored on your PC while you browse the web.

Click the globe icon, then review the list of items and select an action:

• Hover your cursor over an item to view more details.
• Tick a box next to an item to manually select it for cleaning.
• Click Ignore to remove an item from the list.
• Use the Select drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen to apply an automatic action:
  • Select recommended: allows Avast Cleanup Premium to select which items are cleaned from your system.
  • Select all: automatically selects all listed items.
  • Select none: deselects all listed items.

After selecting categories for cleaning, click Clean Now. If prompted, click Continue to allow Avast Cleanup Premium to close any open browsers and continue the cleaning process. When the clean is complete, click Done to return to the main Avast Cleanup Premium screen, or click Clean Even More to review and clean more items. You can manage ignored and cleaned categories by returning to the Browser data menu and clicking categories cleaned or categories ignored.
