Your wireless network password is weak!

Hackers can discover your Wi-Fi password to use the bandwidth and access your data and other devices in the network. Your personal data may be at risk.

To configure ASUS wireless router:


  1. From the Wi-Fi Inspector results screen, select Go to your router settings to open the administration page of your ASUS router.
  2. Enter your router username and password, or contact the party who provided the router (e.g., your ISP).
  3. Go to Advanced SettingsWirelessGeneral.
    - or -
    Go to WirelessInterface.
    - or -
    Go to WirelessSecurity.
  4. For Authentication Method select WPA2-Personal.
    - or -
    For Authentication Method select WPA-PSK.
    - or -
    For WPA2 Preauthentication select Enabled.
  5. For WPA Encryption select AES, if available.
  6. In the WPA Pre-Shared Key, or the Passphrase field, field create a wireless password to encrypt your WiFi network
  7. Confirm your changes by selecting Apply, or Save and reboot your router if necessary.
  8. Repeat steps 3. - 7. for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz settings on dual-band routers.

To configure wireless network devices:


  1. Go to wireless settings for each of your devices connected to the router and view wireless networks within range.
  2. From the list of available wireless networks select the name (SSID) of your wireless network.
  3. When asked, enter the Wireless password (or Passphrase, Network/Pre-shared key, etc.) you specified for WPA2 encryption of your wireless router.
  4. If needed, confirm, to establish a wireless connection between your router and the device.
