File System Shield - Exclusions
Manage these settings at: Menu ▸ Settings (gear icon) ▸ Active Protection ▸ File System Shield ▸ Customize ▸ Exclusions
The File System Shield analyzes files and programs to be sure they are safe before they are run or modified.
Enter or modify any locations you want to exclude from real-time scanning by the File System Shield.
These exclusions do not apply to on-demand scans. To exclude files from all manual and scheduled scans, create a global exclusion at Settings ▸ General ▸ Exclusions.
Specify file types to be excluded at the moment of opening (read=R), saving (write=W), or running (execute=X).
You can use wildcards "?" or "*", e.g.:
- To exclude a folder and its sub-folders you must add "\*" to the end of the folder name e.g. "C:\Example\*".
- To exclude all folders labeled "example" on any your hard drives, enter "?:/example".
