Shred Free Space
This operation makes the data from previously deleted files unrecoverable. You can select the method:
- Random overwrite - This is the simplest and quickest method. You can specify more passes for more security.
- DOD (Department of Defense) - This is a more secure but slower method. The file is overwritten with several types of data.
- Gutmann method - This is the slowest, but the most secure method. It is not possible to recover the original data by any known means.
Options
In Options you can choose which areas of file information to shred:

- Clean MFT (on NTFS) - Clean reference information from the data structure for NTFS disks.
- Clean FAT directory entries - Clean reference information from the data structure for FAT disks.
