Detailed Report
For scans where a virus was detected you can click Detailed Report for more information. A new window appears with details of viruses detected:
- The Result column informs if an action has been taken.
- If no action has been taken, expand the drop-down menu in the Action column to choose an option. The recommended action is Move to Chest.
- To select the same action to all files, use the area at the bottom of the screen. You can change the action for any specific file in that particular row.
- Specify an action for each file and click Apply. The action taken is shown in the result column.
- To exit without taking any action select Do nothing and close the screen.
Warnings in Scan Reports
Sometimes the Results column shows a warning or error message. This does not necessarily mean the file contains a threat.
- Archive file is password protected - Some programs use password-protected archives to store their data even if you did not set the password. The content of the archive cannot be scanned but the "wrapper" file is scanned.
- Archive file is corrupted - A file can be corrupted when it was only partially downloaded, or it is special type of archive. In this case the "wrapper" file is scanned.
- Memory detections - A detection in Process X, memory block Y, Block size Z means that a virus signature was found in the system memory but not in a file. In this case it is recommended to run a boot-time scan. If nothing is detected on the disk during the boot-time scan, the memory detection was probably caused by running another security program.
