Software Updater - Settings

Enable the Software Updater to keep your third party applications up to date, eliminating security vulnerabilities.

Allow update of system-wide products for administrators only - Applications which are installed on all accounts can be updated only when logged into Windows with administrator rights.
Automatically download updates if possible - Avast downloads available updates for your third party software and notifies you when ready to install. In some cases you are redirected to the appropriate website to install the update.
Automatically update if possible (Premier only) - Avast installs downloaded updates in the background.
Notifications (popups) enabled - Avast notifies you when a software update is available or when an update is completed.

Database reset (troubleshooting) - Expand this section to reset the database when the updater does not recognize a particular update correctly.
