Sandbox - Report file

Manage these settings at: Menu ▸ Settings (gear icon) ▸ Tools ▸ Sandbox ▸ Customize ▸ Report file

You can set Avast to create a report when an application is run in the sandbox.

The report contains basic information about any application run in virtualized mode, the date and time it runs, and what actions are carried out. Specify the type of report file (plain text or xml) and how long to keep the report.

This allows you to monitor any hidden activity if you suspect a virus. For example if an unknown program tries to run and is virtualized by CyberCapture, you can see its behavior and location make it easier to remove.

Report file

The report file is saved in one of these locations:

  • For Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 or Windows Vista - C:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast\report
  • For Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Avast Software\Avast\report
